About Us

Reflecting upon the current spiritual state of our community and the Islamic educational system in the mosques of Oldham (for english speaking brothers and sisters), with the mercy of Allah(SWT), a group of brothers from Oldham(Glodwick) formed Islam4everyone.com in February 2004. The organisation currently has 10-15 members who are a mixture of students, IT professionals, business men and most importantly enthusiasts passionate about seeking the sacred knowledge of Islam to better themselves. The team members are all working for the sake of pleasing Allah(SWT),currently performing various roles ranging from financiers to event organisers.

Activities

The Website - The team origionally set out plans to put together a website called www.Islam4everyone.com, whose core element would be a range of Islamic articles ranging from 'birth' right through to 'the day of judgement', all authenticated by prominent local english speaking scholars. Alhamdulilah, this is proving to be a very educational and challenging task and good progress is being made in that area. Inshallah we hope to launch the articles by Ramadan 2005, however, functionality is being added to the website as it is being developed and we hope to make alot of changes to the website in the coming months.

Islamic Events - A few months after Islam4everyone.com was launched, the brothers came up with the idea of holding islamic events in Glodwick as an immediate solution to meet the educational needs of the english speaking brothers and sisters in the North West. Alhamdulilah, we have been holding Islamic events since June 2004 in the Khadija women centre and Al-Madinah Jamia Mosque, both on waterloo street. Alhamdulilah, the events are attracting and enlightening brothers and sisters from all parts of the UK who attend as they hear about our events through various advertisement mediums we are deploying. All our events are advertised on our website at www.islam4everyone.com.

Our Objectives

1. To have a fully operational Islamic website by Ramadan 2005.
2. To educate ourselves and provide educational facilities for english speaking brothers and sisters, through our events schedule and articles on our website.
3. To invite scholars from all parts of the world, inshallah, to run courses on essential topics such as Aqida,Fiqh,Hadith etc.

Technologies

The website is currently developed in HTML and Javascript. In the near future we will be using Perl/CGI to accomplish the interactive functionality to the website.
